Scope, objectives and strategic value of the ARIEN final event
The Final ARIEN Workshop, hosted in Palermo, will present the main achievements and results of the ARIEN project, highlighting its key findings, sustainability and exploitation strategies, and policy recommendations for policymakers, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs), Border Guard Authorities (BGAs), EU security agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Hosted by the Polizia di Stato in collaboration with the ARIEN consortium partners, the event will provide a comprehensive overview of the ARIEN Framework and its innovative tools developed to support the fight against illegal drug trafficking. Participants will have the opportunity to explore the project's operational outcomes, discuss future adoption and sustainability pathways, and exchange views on emerging challenges and opportunities in combating drug-related crime at national and European levels.
The workshop will also serve as a platform for fostering dialogue and cooperation among practitioners, policymakers, researchers, and security authorities, promoting the uptake of ARIEN's results and strengthening collective efforts to address the evolving threat of illicit drug trafficking.
