Security resilience and AI-supported investigations at Days of Corporate Security 2026
How can technological innovation help organisations respond to changing security threats? This question connected several contributions at the 17th International Conference “Days of Corporate Security”, held on 18–19 May 2026 in Brdo, Slovenia.
Under the theme “Resilience: The Foundation of Modern Security Environment”, the conference brought together researchers, public authorities and security professionals. Discussions examined corporate and information risks, critical infrastructure protection, cybersecurity and the practical application of research.
Within this programme, project coordinator ENG presented “ARIEN: A holistic approach based on artificial intelligence tools for monitoring the production and illegal trafficking of drugs”. The contribution introduced ARIEN’s work and results to a professional audience concerned with identifying threats and strengthening security capabilities.
The wider programme addressed the evolving landscape of serious and organised crime and the relationship between AI regulation, strategy and practice. These themes provided a relevant context for considering how investigative technologies can respond to operational needs.
Complementary European research was also represented, including ARMADILLO’s approach to preventing drug-facilitated sexual crime. The presence of both projects created an opportunity to exchange perspectives on drug-related threats and the communication of technological results.
For ARIEN, the conference extended dissemination beyond its own workshops and connected its research with broader discussions about organisational preparedness, cooperation and the transfer of knowledge into practice.
